First PvP was when I fired a missile from a slasher at a kestrel in some low sec system. I didn't have a web fitted because I had been in-game for three days and didn't have prop jamming trained. The missile hit but then he warped off, which is good because there's no way I'd have survived against a retaliation. Then I jumped into high sec and got concordokkend with my criminal timer still going
My first PvP kill was also with a slasher, and against another kestrel. I had been in game about two weeks, and he'd been in for less than a day. I didn't have a scrammer fitted but I guess the idea of warping out didn't occur to him. He had like two standard missile launchers fitted and hardly any modules, probably because he had no skills or cash. I'm sure he bought the kestrel with ISK that was begged for in a starter system. I may not be remembering this right, but I'm fairly sure my mids and low setup was as follows: shield booster and hull rep in mids, armor rep in low.
A fun kill from more recently was at a gate in TPAR during the week of the initial invasion after MC's standings flip. A Raptor either jumped in from the gate or warped to it, I forget which, but a running battle ensued over a range of 350km. BoB ceptors chased it and the heavier support (like my Ferox) would warp to friendly ceptors whenever the Raptor moved out of our range. I could hit from over 100km and was tracking comp'd up, so I took some good chunks out of the enemy before we finally took it out. It was a highly mobile fight with everyone constantly staying on their toes. Definitely more dynamic than POS sieging and 400 man fleet encounters.
My favorite kill in BoB was also my first with them. It was within a day or two after the occupation of HED-GP. An AAA gang was camping the gate to Empire, and BoB covert ops were constantly monitoring them. Our FC got the idea to send out our fastest ships in periodic lightning raids against this camp and had all the ceptor pilots identify themselves in fleet chat. I was in a Stiletto. The call came for ceptors to warp to the gate, and I had no idea what to expect at first. My adrenaline was already going while in warp, and when I got to the gate I was just like "oh my god what are they thinking?" It was camped by at least a dozen enemy ships of all shape and size. We targeted an Eagle that the covert ops guy called primary, and we threw on our MWDs and got to work. I noticed little bits of my shield getting taken away and think "oh crap they got me now... and my clone is like 20 jumps away" but like everyone else I stuck in there... 0% shield on Eagle, 0% armor on Eagle, Eagle explodes. We're all taking massive fire from the other ships at the gate but our speed is protecting us from lethal damage. It was either the FC or the covert ops pilot, but someone in charge ecstatically shouted "okay now get the **** out of there! go go go!" I'd rarely been so relieved to enter warp. It was awesome.
My first post-BoB kill was against a relatively new player's Punisher. I was in a Jaguar that I'd never PvP'd in before, and I was looking for a relatively easy target to test out the fitting on. I move in and throw on my Ewar (2 point scram and target disruptor.) I start to kill them and realize I haven't taken any damage. I think "wow, fitting a disruptor instead of a web was a really good move" (I should also note that I had weapon effects turned off.) I destroy them and I see their pod just kind of sitting there. I have no desire to destroy pods and as it continues to sit there it dawns on me that they were AFK the whole time. They confirmed this in a local chat convo several minutes later. It was not what I would call a worthwhile PvP encounter
The very next day after that non-fight, I was running a complex in an Ishkur and someone warps in with a Rifter. I'm running out of allowed characters so I'll summarize: I have no scram, my drones still kill him before he aligns
